Food safety and quality policy
UAB Rūta is one of the longest-operating confectionery factories not only in Lithuania, but also throughout Europe. We respect our history and in our business operations we adhere to family values, while training and developing our employees, as well as constantly implementing advanced production processes that ensure the highest product quality and food safety. As a food manufacturer, we consider our reputation among consumers to be the company’s greatest asset. Our aim is for the Rūta brand to become known and appreciated as the standard for the highest quality chocolate products in Lithuania and beyond.
OUR OBJECTIVES AND TASKS:
- To manufacture safe, high-quality and authentic products that meet the needs of our consumers.
- To constantly improve our production technologies and the products we manufacture.
- To ensure compliance with the sanitary and hygiene requirements at all stages of production.
- To work in accordance with the legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania, the European Union and other documents regulating the company’s activities and the requirements set by customers.
- To use local raw materials when creating new, innovative products.
- To work only with reliable suppliers.
- Continuously improve food safety and quality policy.
- To protect the environment by managing waste properly and responsibly.
- To maintain and continuously improve the company’s food safety and quality system, which is certified according to the requirements of the BRC GS9.
THE UAB RŪTA MANAGEMENT UNDERTAKES:
- To allocate sufficient resources to implementing the company’s operational goals, food safety and quality policy,
- To create conditions for the continuous development of the company’s employees and to constantly raise their qualifications through training,
- To promote a sense of initiative and responsibility among the company’s employees for the work they perform,
