Chocolate collection awarded gold!

The Amber Road chocolate collection has received recognition in the annual Lithuanian Product of the Year [„Metų gaminys“] from the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists (LPK). The collection was awarded a gold medal at the event, which took place in Vilnius on 11 December.

 

The aim of the competition is to increase the competitiveness of high-quality Lithuanian products, to present and promote the country’s products, goods and services to local and international consumers, encouraging them to choose a high-quality Lithuanian product, thus ensuring the development of Lithuanian businesses. Nearly 100 applications were submitted for this year’s competition. After summarising the experts’ reports, an expert commission representing different industries and business sectors awarded 61 gold and 7 silver medals to products in 7 different categories. The Amber Road chocolate collection was awarded a gold medal in the food and feed category.

 

The Amber Road souvenir chocolate collection is like a trip along the Baltic Sea coast with a palette of ambers and colours in one box.

 

The unique packaging of the Amber Road collection depicts Baltic amber and the extraordinary history of the Amber Road in a golden spiral in the centre of the packaging cover. The centre of the packaging is decorated with a unique souvenir of real polished Baltic amber.

 

The collection was created in collaboration with Virginija and Kazimieras Mizgiris, internationally renowned amber specialists. The QR code on the packaging links to their Amber Museum Gallery page, where you can find out what the Amber Road is and which nations valued amber.

 

The Amber Road chocolate collection is a unique present designed to represent our country. It includes 30 handmade chocolates and 10 different fillings with extraordinary flavours. All the chocolates are designed to look like the Baltic Sea coastline in both their shape and design. The chocolates are made with carefully selected ingredients with distinctive flavours (passion fruit, fragrant tangerines, Marsala wine, Griottines cherries), complemented by sweet caramel, white chocolate, and a champagne strawberry filling, with almonds, hazelnuts and crushed cocoa beans providing a very pleasant crunch. These are exclusive and unforgettable combinations of flavours contained in a box that embodies Lithuanian identity!
