Chocolate collection receives an international award!

The Amber Road chocolate collection has been awarded three gold stars in the international Superior Taste Award competition! This is the highest level of recognition in the competition. Three gold stars are awarded to exceptional products that score more than 90 points.

The Superior Taste Award is widely known and recognised in the food and beverage industry. Since 2005, thousands of products from more than 100 countries have been evaluated, but only the best have been certified. The jury is made up of more than 250 highly qualified gastronomy experts, who are given no prior information on the products they are judging. Each product is evaluated according to the 5 International Hedonic Sensory Analysis criteria – first impression, vision, olfaction, taste and texture. The Superior Taste Award is perhaps the most prestigious taste certification in the world.

The Rūta confectionery factory has been participating in this competition since 2015, winning gold stars every year. Rūta first excelled in the competition in 2016, when the Amber Road chocolate collection was awarded three gold stars. It is a great joy to see the new and improved Amber Road collection once again being awarded the three-star award on its tenth anniversary.

The Amber Road chocolate collection is a unique product in the souvenir line for those looking for an exclusive, high-quality present. The collection includes 30 handmade chocolates and 10 different carefully selected and combined flavours. All the chocolates are designed to look like the Baltic Sea coastline in both their shape and design. The packaging of the collection is also unique: it depicts pieces of amber and stylishly tells the story of the Amber Road, with a unique souvenir – a polished piece of real Baltic amber – at its centre.

This is the third award given to the Amber Road chocolate collection. It had been awarded gold in the “Choose a Lithuanian Product 2024” [„Rinkis prekę lietuvišką 2024“] and “Product of the Year 2024” [„Metų gaminys 2024“].
