Dark chocolate sweets with oranges and sea salt “Secret love“, 130 g

The confectionery “Rūta“, in collaboration with the artist Julia Janus, has produced two unique chocolate collections. Inspired by the magnificent love story of the royal couple Sigismund Augustus and Barbara Radziwiłł, the chocolate collections are a taste of extraordinary history, as well as the Italian Renaissance culture, traditions and cuisine.

The “Secret love“ collection contains dark chocolate sweets with oranges and sea salt. The special combination of the sweet-and-sour taste of orange peels intertwining with the subtle sourness of sea salt and crispiness of crushed almonds is no mistake nor accident. The Grand Duke of Lithuania, Sigismund Augustus, is known to have constantly gifted the love of his life, Barbara Radziwiłł, with oranges – one of the most expensive fruits of the time, and ones she was very fond of. The love story of Sigismund Augustus and Barbara Radziwiłł is among the most majestic, dramatic, and romantic legends of Vilnius.
